New Generators

How do I choose the right generator for my power needs?

Firstly, you need to know how much power you would require, and then how many phases your system runs on.

If you’re unsure, fill in our Contact Form and give us as much detail as possible. One of our colleagues will be in touch to assist you.

How much diesel a generator uses will depend on its size and how it is used.

Often generators come with an internal fuel tank. These are usually designed to allow that particular generator to run for 8, 10 or 12 hours. If the generator is not in constant use, then the fuel will sit in the tank. The diesel, if stored correctly, will last a long time.

The biggest factor is water getting into the tank or biological agents developing within the fuel. However, this does not render the fuel useless. If the tank is emptied and cleaned and the fuel is filtered, it can be used again.

Yes, we highly recommend pairing your generator with an automatic transfer switch for seamless power during power outages.

Fuel consumption depends on the size and load. For example, a 20kW diesel generator might use 1.6 gallons per hour at 50% load.

To calculate the kVA a generator produces, you need to know either the number of KiloWatts (kW), the Voltage (V) or the Ampages (A) the generator provides.

You can go straight to our kVA Calculator to take care of all of the figures!

Air-cooled units are smaller and ideal for residential use, while liquid-cooled systems are larger, quieter, and better for commercial applications.

New models include features like overload protection, low-oil shutoff, and remote monitoring. We’ll explain these features during your purchase.

The size of the generator needed is all dependent on the supply and demand.

All individual appliances demand a certain amount of power (measured in watts) and generators supply a certain amount of power (also measured in watts).

You need to ensure enough power is supplied to operate and fulfil all of the power requirements for all equipment.

Depending on your location and the model you choose, you might qualify for rebates or incentives. We can help you find eligible options

Used Generators

How can I tell if a used generator still has a good lifespan left?

Check the total runtime hours—generators designed for industrial use can last tens of thousands of hours if maintained well. Look for units with low-to-moderate usage and a solid service record.

Yes, we thoroughly inspect and test every used generator to ensure it’s in good working condition before offering it for sale. Ask us for the inspection report.

Most models we sell have parts readily available, but we can also help you source hard-to-find parts if needed. Let us know the model, and we’ll guide you.

We offer trade-in options where you can exchange your old generator for a newer used model. Contact us for a valuation of your unit.

Of course! We’re happy to demonstrate the generator under load conditions so you can see how it performs.

Service and Maintenance

What’s included in your maintenance services?

Our maintenance includes oil and filter changes, fuel system cleaning, load testing, and overall system checks to ensure reliable operation.

Yes, we service all major generator brands, regardless of where you bought them.

  • A load bank test simulates full-load conditions to ensure your generator can handle its rated capacity. It’s essential for standby generators used in critical applications.

Most generators on the market are diesel generators, and yes, you would generally use red diesel in these as they cannot be used on public roads. You can also use normal diesel, but this would be a lot more expensive to run.

We can supply fuel to your diesel generator at great prices per litre, just visit our Contact Us page and we’ll be in touch to make the arrangements.

Common reasons include old fuel, battery failure, or neglected maintenance. Regular servicing minimises these risks.

Yes, we have a team available for 24/7 emergency repairs to get your generator back online quickly.

Store it in a dry, ventilated area with the fuel drained and the battery disconnected. We offer storage tips and accessories to help.

We guarantee our work and parts for a specified period, depending on the service. We’ll provide clear warranty terms upfront.
